Objectives and Applications

ROSE-L is the Copernicus Expansion SAR mission designed to image Europe, the global landmass and ice, as well as the oceans, in L-band. In synergy with Sentinel-1, the mission will play a crucial role in addressing environmental, societal and security challenges, such as quantifying the impacts of climate change, supporting disaster management and emergency response, monitoring land use, and enhancing maritime awareness.
