Biomass Mission

Objectives and Applications

Biomass will provide global maps of forest biomass and height (at 200 m resolution) and forest disturbance (at 50 m resolution) every 6 months. This information will lead to a better understanding of the state of Earth’s forests, how they are changing over time, and advance our knowledge of the carbon cycle.
