Aeolus Mission

Objectives and Applications

Aeolus provided accurate global measurements of winds from the surface up to 30 km which helped in improving weather forecasts, understanding atmospheric dynamics, providing info on aerosols and clouds, filling the current major gap in the atmospheric observing system, etc. LST is 18:00 (on an Ascending Node) ad at 06:00 (for a dawn-dusk orbit)
