NIMBUS-VHR Mission

Objectives and Applications

NIMBUS-VHR is a single-satellite mission capturing very high-resolution (<1 m) panchromatic imagery suitable for detailed mapping of man-made structures and surface features. It is a part of the IRIDE programme which represents an end-to-end system, consisting of sub-constellations of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites (upstream segment), ground-based operational infrastructure (downstream segment), and services tailored for the Italian Public Administration (service segment).
