Atlantic Constellation Pathfinder Mission

Objectives and Applications

The Atlantic Constellation aims to provide more frequent coverage of European territories that could be affected by natural disasters or climate change and erosion, as well as support commercial enterprises such as agriculture. The programme differs from existing European constellation satellites such as Copernicus in that it would reduce revisit times from 3 days to 24 hours. This Pathfinder will demonstrate the key technologies asociated with the project such as enhanced AI processesing and inter satellite links allowing tasking even when not above a ground station.
