DubaiSat-1 Mission

Objectives and Applications

DubaiSat-1 is the first Earth observation satellite owned by the UAE. Since it was launched in 2009, it has captured and sent a large number of satellite images at a resolution of 2.5 meters. It was developed to be the first step for the UAE to enter the space age by developing the first main batch of space specialised engineers who have played a leading role in transferring their knowledge to the second generation of Emirati space engineers.
