Objectives and Applications
CLARREO Pathfinder (Calibration Absolute Radiance and Refractivity Observatory Pathfinder) demonstrates an ability to take highly accurate measurements of sunlight reflected by Earth and the Moon. These measurements, which are anchored to international standards, will be five to ten times more accurate than those from existing sensors. CLARREO Pathfinder is designed to have the unique ability to maintain its high accuracy throughout its lifetime โ showcasing technology that can be of use to all providers of Earth observations. Higher accuracy means greater certainty in measurements, enabling CLARREO Pathfinder to provide a calibration standard that could improve government and commercial fleets.
