Objectives and Applications
Overall objective: a) study of the chemical makeup of the atmosphere between approximately 15 and 100 km above the Earth's surface, b) measurement of the total energy contained in sunlight and how that energy varies, c) investigation of how the Earth's electric and magnetic fields and atmosphere influence one another, and d) examine sources of ultraviolet light in the universe.
