Objectives and Applications

Launched in November 2014, ChubuSat-1 was a Japanese microsatellite technology mission developed by a consortium of universities (Nagoya University and Daido University) and aerospace companies in the Chubu region of Japan. The satellite had the objective to observe space debris and the Earth's surface, as well as the relaying of amateur communication data. The mission was completed in May 2015.
