Objectives and Applications

The overall objective is to offer high-resolution imagery (SAR imagery and eventually also optical imagery) on a commercial basis to worldwide customers as well as to institutional users in Russia for a variety of applications. Initially designed for Russian military surveilance purposes, the satellite was repurposed to obtain commercial data after funding was cut.
