Objectives and Applications
|
A pair of USSF technology instruments for the ISS consisting of COWVR (Compact Ocean Wind Vector Radiometer) and TEMPEST (Temporal Experiment for Storms and Tropical Systems). The instruments were build by NASA JPL and were launched by SpaceX to the International Space Station (ISS) in December 2021. COWVR aims to measure wind speed and direction at the ocean surface, and TEMPEST aims to study atmospheric humidity.
