MicroSCOPE Mission

Objectives and Applications

The Microsatellite with Compensated Drag for Observing the Principle of Equivalence (MicroSCOPE) had the objective was to conduct a fundamental physics experiment, namely testing the Weak Equivalence Principle (WEP), so as to probe Einstein’s general theory of relativity. The mission successfully tested the WEP to an accuracy of the order of 10^-14.
