ITASat-1 is a university technological 6U CubeSat mission, funded by the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB). As a joint collaboration between the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) and the National Institute of Space Research (INPE), the development process of ITASat-1 allowed Brazilian students to accumulate experience working with space technology, while the satellite itself has enabled in-orbit tests of new components and technologies for future Brazilian missions.
