Objectives and Applications
|
CanX-2 is a nanosatellite mission designed and built at UTIAS/SFL. It successfully reached its two objectives: technology demonstration and provision of cost-effective access to space for the Canadian research and development community. Its primary goal was to demonstrate several technologies critical for the CanX-4/5 formation flying mission, including a custom cold-gas propulsion system, a 30 mNms nanosatellite reaction wheel as part of a three-axis stabilised momentum-bias attitude control system, and a commercially available GPS receiver.
