Objectives and Applications
|
MEV-1 and MEV-2 are the first commercial servicing satellites, designed to service fully functional but ageing satellites. MEV-1 provides life-extending services by taking over the propulsion and attitude control functions to steer, point and relocate the client spacecraft, while MEV-2 acts as fuel for a functioning satellite without means of significant propulsion.
